It’s Pokemon Day on Monday, when Nintendo celebrate the 21st anniversary of the series that launched in Japan back in 1996.
Pokemon Go are going to be celebrating by giving Pikachu a festive hat.
From 9pm uk time on Sunday until 9pm on March 6th any Pikachu you encounter in the wild will be wearing one of these hats. If you catch one it will keep the hat forever.
There are more goodies on offer for Pokemon Day, including a new gallery figures collection in the Pokemon Centre, a movie marathon on Pokemon TV and extra trainer tokens in the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online.
