Bethesda has insisted that Sony is not to blame for the lack of DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PlayStation 3.
The game’s ‘Hearthfire’ and ‘Dawnguard’ DLC packs are yet to be released on the platform due to performance issues, and Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines says these are down to the studio to correct.
“We’ve never blamed anyone or anything. It’s our problem, and it’s on us to solve it,” he wrote on Twitter. “We have never blamed Sony/PS3.”
Hines went on to say that the majority of users would be unlikely to experience any technical issues, but added that Bethesda will not be satisfied until the glitches have been ironed out completely.
“I don’t have any info on ‘Hearthfire’, ‘Dawnguard’, or DLC in general for PS3. We’re still on it. Will share update when I have one,” he added.
Skyrim suffered from performance issues at launch on PS3, though Bethesda rectified the problems in the core game by issuing a patch earlier this year.
The ‘Dawnguard’ expansion was released for Xbox 360 and PC over the summer, while ‘Hearthfire’ came to the Xbox 360 last month and landed on Steam this week.
